Blowing a nose has never been so cute.

Benny is almost 13 months now. He is a little ball of joy.

I think if I got to choose a name for this developmental stage it would be the peek-a-boo phase. Life is fun. For just a little while I can use simple distractions to keep my little explorer happy. When he is upset about coming back inside I can just ask for a high five and suddenly that high five is all the matters. Everyone is smiling and having fun again. Having a sister is really fun during the peek-a-boo phase. She is nearly always ready for a tiny audience to entertain.

Benny's biggest achievement this week is blowing his nose. Somehow he learned how.

He is still not quite walking. At eight months he could walk holding one hand. Not much has changed since then. Someday I know he will find a reason to walk around on his own.
